International Baccalaureate or IB program is an internationally
recognized program that leads to a high school Diploma, which enables
students to receive acceptance to top schools around the world. The IB
program has 4 stages geared towards students of age 3 to 19.
Cambridge, Oxford, Harvard, MIT and many other top schools are happy
to accept new students with the IB Diploma. The students learn to
think critically and scientifically in the IB program
IB diploma programme is a two year course of study that focuses on a
diverse set of classes to help students prepare for a rigorous
university education. Typically, holders of IB diploma can be admitted
to top universities and have the lessons they had in the IB program to
transfer to their university curriculum to reduce their workload in
their undergraduate programs. A typical IB program consists of 6
lessons, Theory of Knowledge (TOK) and Extended Essay, a 4000 word
mini thesis, requirements.
The IB program is developed and administered by the
International Baccalaureate Organization
in 153 countries 4,775 partner schools as of 2018. Some of the classes
offered are
Mathematics, Biology, Computer Science, Chemistry, Physics, Design Technology,
Sports, Exercise and Health Science, Environmental Systems and
Societies,
Economics, Business And Management, Geography, Information Technology In and
Globalized Society (ITGS), Philosophy, Psychology, Anthropology,
Global Politics, History, Spanish, Greek, Latin, Mandarin, Turkish,
English, Dance, Music, Film, Theatre, Visual Arts, Theory of Knowledge
(TOK). The program requires the completion 8 classes, essays known as
internal Assessments (IA) for each class and a final project called
Extended essay.
